NABSE is strong because of its leadership! We build off those who have come before us, and that is certainly true when looking at the legacies of those who have provided leadership to the National Alliance of Black School Educators. These outstanding leaders have served as president and they have worked to carry forward the mission and goals of the organization with an unrelenting commitment. Despite having varied leadership styles, experiences and philosophies, they led the organization through times of crisis, celebration, challenge and innovation. NABSE will forever be grateful for their leadership and their legacy.

Special thanks to NASBE’s Immediate Past President Mrs. Marietta English. Mrs. English has given leadership to the organization with dignity and grace unmeasured. Her steadfast loyalty to NABSE has facilitated the organization’s ability to continue to meet the needs of students of color while raising the bar for the educators who serve them.
