ROCKLAND ALLIANCE OF BLACK SCHOOL EDUCATORS HELD ITS OFFICIAL LAUNCH AND INSTALLATION

OF OFFICERS

Rockland, NY- March 9, 2022 – The Rockland Alliance of Black School Educators, an affiliate of the National Alliance of Black School Educators (NABSSE), held its official launch and installation of officers on March 9, 2022, at 6 pm. Dr. Tahira DuPree Chase, Superintendent of Westbury School District, and member of NABSE, was the keynote speaker. Other speakers included Dr. Clarence G. Ellis, Superintendent of East Ramapo Schools District, Dr. Michal A. Baston President of Rockland Community College, Willie Trotman President of the Spring Valley NAACP and other members of the Rockland County Community. The Mistress of Ceremony was Melody Pannell the Director of Diversity and Community Engagement of UVA Health. Dr. Fadhilika Atiba-Weza NABSE Executive Director gave closing remarks.

Four officers were installed at this event.

RABSE has three standing committees, and the chairs are:

•    Election Chair – Lucrisha Addison-Harris
