Rockland, NY- March 9, 2022 – The Rockland Alliance of Black School Educators, an affiliate of the National Alliance of Black School Educators (NABSSE), held its official launch and installation of officers on March 9, 2022, at 6 pm. Dr. Tahira DuPree Chase, Superintendent of Westbury School District, and member of NABSE, was the keynote speaker. Other speakers included Dr. Clarence G. Ellis, Superintendent of East Ramapo Schools District, Dr. Michal A. Baston President of Rockland Community College, Willie Trotman President of the Spring Valley NAACP and other members of the Rockland County Community. The Mistress of Ceremony was Melody Pannell the Director of Diversity and Community Engagement of UVA Health. Dr. Fadhilika Atiba-Weza NABSE Executive Director gave closing remarks.

The Rockland Alliance of Black School Educators (RABSE) is Rockland’s premier organization of educators devoted to furthering the academic success for students – particularly children of African descent.
RABSE boasts an outreach to a distinguished group of preeminent educators including teachers, administrators, and teaching assistants.
Founded in 2022, RABSE is dedicated to improving both the educational experiences and accomplishments of Black youth through the development and use of instructional and motivational methods that increase levels of inspiration, attendance, and overall achievement.
