School Tours (K-12)

The Indianapolis Public Schools and the Metropolitan School District of Pike Township, have proudly selected 12 schools to demonstrate the excellent work being done to educate children in their respective school districts. These schools will be toured by NABSE conferees on Wednesday, November 18, 2009 starting at 8:00 am. and ending at 3:00 pm. There will be seven (7) tours visiting elementary, middle and high schools. Each tour will include a lunch to be served at one of the schools.

Participants are invited to embrace NABSE's belief that Education is a Civil Right by bringing school supplies, a book to read to students or anything else that will assist the students to maximize their potential.

Below are the descriptions of the schools being toured as well as the registration form. It is very important that all forms be faxed to the NABSE national office at (202) 608-6319 to the attention of School Tours. All registration forms must be submitted no later than Wednesday, November 11, 2009. On-site registration can occur in the Conference Registration area at the Indiana Convention Center, Tuesday, November 17, 2009 from 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm. ADVANCED REGISTRATION IS PREFERRED!

All conferees are strongly encouraged to take advantage of this Pre-Conference activity. What better way to begin the NABSE Conference experience than by experiencing exemplary teaching and learning in the classroom.
