Ivory Benton began his carrier in elementary
education in 1987. He taught Chapter I Reading for
one year and then spent the next six years serving as a Grade
One Teacher in the Boston Public School system.
Ivory accepted a position with Harcourt School
Publishers in 1994. He began as the New
England Regional Consultant. He was
promoted to National Consultant in ’97. Ivory
has been promoted again and currently holds the position
of Senior Director of Urban Affairs.
Ivory Benton received his BA in 1986. He completed a course
of study for a dual degree in Music and Business. Ivory
received his MS in Elementary Education in May of 1994.
Ivory Benton’s professional affiliations include memberships
with: IRA, ASCD, NABSE and NCTM. Ivory works with and supports
NSBA, CUBE and ASSM. He also serves on the Blue Ribbon
Corporate Advisory Panel for the Council of the Great City Schools. |
