Gloria F. Noland

Mrs. Gloria F. Noland served as president of The Ohio Alliance of Black School Educators; Members of the (NABSE) National Alliance of Black School educators Board of Directors; where she serves as Mid West Regional Representative; Parent Commission Chairperson, Consultant to the Ohio Department of Education on the Ohio Graduation Test (OGT); National Community Trainer on the Law of NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND; State parent trainer on academic content standard and reading; and a member of Close the Ohio Academic Achievement Gap. She has amassed a distinguished record of service; in her professional, community, and civic pursuit. She graduated from Mississippi Valley State University where she earned .B.S. degree in music and later a Master Degrees in Guidance and Counseling and school administration from the University of Dayton and Bowling Green State University all of Ohio. She has taught K-12 Music in Lima City School District, Lima, Ohio and served as a Guidance Counseling for the past 30 years in Lorain City Schools, Lorain, Ohio.

    Mrs. Noland had dedicated her life to her community having served in Several Key Leadership Positions in Lorain County Alliance of Black School Educators (LCABSE). She is Co Founder of LCABSE, Founder of its Student Academic Achievement Motivation Program, Life member of   Lorain Branch of NAACP, Co-Founder or Lorain County Chapter of Jack and Jill of America INC. Member of the Lorain County Community College Vision 21 teams, Member of the Loran County Human Resource Board, and Educational Advisor Council of First Energy. Mrs. Noland has served as workshop presenter at the state and national levels

    She has received many honors and awards that includes but not limited to: Ohio Civil right Commission-“ Keeping the Dream Alive”, Ohio Education’s Civil Rights Award, NABSE Hall of Fame Lifetime Achievement Award, NAACP Civil Rights and Community Service Award, Negro Business and Professional Club Inc. Great Living African American Achiever, Dream Makers Award. The Lorain YWCA Women of Achievement Award and she is a Martha Holding Jennings Scholar. Mrs. Noland is a life member of the National Alliance of Black School Educators (NABSE)
